Hội Đồng Olympic Việt Nam có trách nhiệm với đất nước và với Olympic phản đối việc TQ “take political stance” về Hoàng Sa, Trường Sa “at the Games”.
Nếu Hội Đồng Olympic Việt Nam không làm điều này thì là phản bội chính mình, không làm theo tinh thần của Olympic, “We are a movement of 205 nations, many of whom are in conflict, and the Games are not the place to take political or religious stances”.
Cách đây 50 năm, chính phủ Phạm Văn Đồng không dám nói là không đồng ý áp dụng hải phận 12 hải lý của Trung Quốc cho Hoàng Sa, Trường Sa.
Ngày nay, chính phủ Việt Nam, Hội Đồng Olympic Việt Nam và truyền thông Việt Nam (trong đó, chính phủ VN có trách nhiệm nhiều nhất) không dám nói là không đồng ý với bản đồ rước đuốc Olympic cho là Hoàng Sa thuộc về Trung Quốc.
Sự acquiescence (*) này có lẽ nên có tên là “Công Hàm Phạm Văn Đồng 2″.
